Cannot find winget package

I cannot find the CLI release or preview on winget

I also notice that the docs page here https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/how-tos/set-up/install-copilot-cli
does not mention winget as an option

Can you confirm the correct way to install on winget if that is still supported?

winget install GitHub.Copilot

winget install GitHub.Copilot.Prerelease

Unfortunately, that didn't resolve it. But I am in a winget sandbox in Admin Powershell due to some constraints on my system with getting winget in a traditional manner from the MS Store

@bfarin can you describe your environment a little better? Are you running in a Windows Sandbox? What version of WinGet do you have installed? winget --info provides lots of additional context. Also, the source might not be getting updated correctly. What happens if you run winget source update -n winget?

I am running in Windows 11 Enterprise*, but I opened powershell as Administrator (in my situation, these are very temporary rights) and installed winget the only way I could without a real windows Store - the method specified here for Windows Sandbox winget install
