(WIP; I think I actually need to fix some of the real tests that now have invalid assertions.)

Also, @hudlow not sure if there's an easier way to update the list in wip.toml than just manually? It'd be nice if it could remove items from the list that you fix :)

Ok, I think I bit off more than I can chew here. It seems like removing the @type_matched decorators is right from a conformance test perspective but causes a lot of downstream havoc, where the exceptions are now being swallowed in evaluations. (I mentioned that this was related in #113.)

I split out a couple of PRs that were a part of this; I couldn't really follow the flow well enough to understand how best to fix all of the issues relating to dropping the @type_matched decorators, so I'm going to close this out for now; maybe someone with more experience with this library would know the fix much quicker.
